Master the basics of sowing a wide range of seeds from vegetables to ornamentals for your garden this season. We’ll discuss the many aspects of successfully sowing, transplanting and planting out from seed. Learn different techniques for seed purchasing and storage, successful germination, plus troubleshooting pest and disease issues you may encounter. An experienced horticulturist, Nile is on staff at the University of Washington botany greenhouse in Seattle.
All in-person classes are limited to 20 attendees to facilitate social distancing. Masks are recommended, but not compulsory. A significant portion of this class is held outside, so attendees should dress appropriately. Classes may be rescheduled in the event of bad weather.
