Visiting Heronswood Garden

Welcome to Heronswood! Our garden is open throughout the year, though hours vary from season to season. You can buy tickets at our convenient ticket office by the parking lot, where rare plants are also available to buy. Guided and private tours from our knowledgeable staff are available by appointment. Leashed dogs are always welcome in the garden. Our interactive garden map will tell you more about Heronswood’s six component gardens.


Our Summer schedule has begun. The garden will be open Wednesday to Sunday, 9am - 3pm . We are closed Wednesday, June 19th (Juneteenth), Thursday, July 4th and Friday July 5th, (Independence Day) for staff family time.

Garden Entry Fees
Adults $10 
Youth $5 (ages 7 to 17) 
Free for children ages 6 and younger. 
Free for  Heronswood Garden members  and Port Gamble S’Klallam tribal community members. Pre-booking not required. Purchase tickets at our on-site Ticket Office. Cash/card payments accepted.

Weather Closures
On occasion, if weather conditions are severe, the garden may need to be closed without advance warning to ensure public safety.

Visitors to Heronswood are greeted  on entry by a heron & frog totem pole  carved by S’Klallam artist Brian Perry.


Garden entry is free during open garden hours year-round for our members. Support the garden and get additional perks  when you become a member .
