Fern Study Day: AM Session

For All Fans of Fronds

Join us for an inspiring and information-packed day at Heronswood as we dive into the wonderful world of ferns through this special collaboration with the Hardy Fern Foundation. Come learn the basics of fern identification, selection, and tips on some of the best species to use in your garden beds or containers. You’ll have an opportunity to explore the grounds of Heronswood (a HFF affiliate garden) and purchase plants from both the HFF and Dan Hinkley’s Windcliff Garden. 2 hour class includes a lecture by noted fern expert and horticulturist John van den Meerendonk, followed by a tour and plant ID activity.

This is the MORNING session, from 9am-11am. An identical afternoon session is also available (1pm-3pm). All in-person classes are limited to 25 attendees. A significant portion of this class is held outside, so attendees should dress appropriately. Classes may be rescheduled in the event of bad weather. No separate member price!
