What makes a successful garden? What are the elements of good garden design? Many talented gardens will echo a similar refrain of important rules; repetition, height differential, seasonality and right plant/right place to mention a few.
Using images from both Heronswood and Windcliff, Dan Hinkley will discuss additional design elements he feels are too frequently overlooked while creating a garden that delivers punch and satisfaction every day of the year.
