Heronswood Heritage Tour

Delve into Heronswood History

Take a tour around Heronswood's ravishing gardens with Director Dr. Ross Bayton. He'll guide you through the history of the gardens from their creation under Dan Hinkley to their acquisition by the Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe 10 years ago and the four new gardens that have been developed since. During the tour, you'll hear trying tales of plant collection in far-flung lands, peek into the life stories of our rare plants and learn of the many connections between the S'Klallam and the native plants they managed and harvested on this land.

Tours last three hours, with lunch provided afterwards and a free Heronswood plant for every attendee. Each tour is limited to 20 people. Tours utilize an audio tour guide system to ensure clear communication.
