Cut to the Chase
Even the most experienced gardeners can find pruning intimidating. Join Heronswood Assistant Director Dr. Ross Bayton as he delivers a hands-on masterclass of pruning best practice. He'll teach the basics including tool choice, safety equipment and pruning groups, then take the class out into the garden for demonstrations of different pruning techniques. Attendees will have the chance to prune under supervision. All tools provided. Feel free to bring in photos of plants at home for an expert pruning consultation.
All in-person classes are limited to 15 attendees in order to facilitate social distancing. Masks must be worn. A significant portion of this class is held outside, so attendees should dress appropriately. Class may be rescheduled in the event of bad weather.
