The Hills are Alive! Growing Alpines & Hardy Succulents, with Dr. Ross Bayton
An In-person Class
High on a Hill with...
Washington State is well endowed with mountains and on any hike into our uplands, you'll encounter the unique plants that live above the tree-line. These tiny treasures can be grown in gardens lower down, but have special requirements in order to thrive. Join Dr. Ross as he explores these precious plants and shows how best to care for them, using Heronswood's new Rock Garden as an example. The class will also delve into the prickly world of hardy succulents. Goat herders welcome!
All in-person classes are limited to 20 attendees in order to facilitate social distancing. Masks are recommended, but not compulsory. A significant portion of this class is held outside, so attendees should dress appropriately. Classes may be rescheduled in the event of bad weather.
