The Sex Lives of Plants, with Dr. Ross Bayton
An In-person Class
Flower Power
The beauty of flowers is uplifting and a balm to the soul, but plants do not produce blooms for our benefit. Pretty flowers are advertisements, designed to lure pollinating insects. In this class, Heronswood Assistant Director Dr. Ross Bayton describes the many ways in which garden plants procreate. He'll show what's happening in a flower and contrast this with other methods of reproduction in ferns and conifers. Sex sells, so get your tickets quick!
All in-person classes are limited to 15 attendees in order to facilitate social distancing. Masks must be worn. A significant portion of this class is held outside, so attendees should dress appropriately. Class may be rescheduled in the event of bad weather.
