The Traveler's Garden: Uganda, with Dr. John Grimshaw
A Plant Explorer's Journey
The Roof of Africa
Lining the border between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Rwenzori Mountains possess a unique flora and fauna and are rarely visited by tourists and travelers. Their snow-capped peaks shelter outlandish plants such as giant groundsels, lobelias and heathers. Take a journey into the Traveler's Garden!
Dr. John Grimshaw is the Director of the Yorkshire Arboretum in England and a well-respected botanist and plantsman. His areas of expertise include snowdrops, woody plants and the characteristic Afroalpine flora that makes a visit to any East African mountain feel like a trip to another planet. Join us to explore.
